Building Footprints US Examples: Apple, Amazon and Microsoft

Building footprint datasets contain the foundation's exact size, shape, and location, i.e., longitude, latitude, geocoding level, and more. Building footprints are needed to create polygons for mapping and geospatial analysis, urban planning, navigation, disaster management, and more.

Building footprints are accurate geometric boundaries of a building's physical structure, often linked to a specific point of interest, such as a business. Datasets containing building footprints provide detailed information about the building, such as building name, type, building geometrics, and information about the area, as well as longitude and latitude (both give a building footprint) and geo level. Datasets that include a POI, as well as building footprints, include information on the POI, such as name, address, contact information, opening hours, and more.
